As things are finally moving along I'm now looking at reproducing the B+ battery. The original was an Emce Nr. 760 (90v). Apart from a few (not very satisfactory) photos on RMOrg I can't find any decent images of the label.
Any pointers to info on reproducing these types of battery is most appreciated.
Regarding the bezel, I don't believe I will be able to reproduce the gold colour as the original appears to be some form of gold foil that was most likely fixed using a vacuum process. All attempts with different types of gold paint (brush and aerosol) give a different result. Hopefully it won't look too bad when seen from a distance.
