Hi,
Thanks Lawrence, I'll have a look at Screwfix and Maplin for the screened cable.
No; I've not been into the garage this morning to try the divider out but I'm sure it will work when I do. I've been busy posting on the forum then researching "screening"
http://www.ece.cmu.edu/~koopman/des_s99/environment/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric-field_screening
http://www.ece.cmu.edu/~koopman/des_s99/...lectrical/
Above are just three of the sites I've been reading; most interesting as I can follow the gist of what is being explained and at least I now know the reason for screening.
Rather than keep popping into the garage for short periods of time I want to gather the items needed then spend as much time as required on the job.
Many thanks Gary for your encouragement; yes another saga in the making. I would recommend woodturning as a hobby to anyone; its a subject in its own right with so many aspects to explore; it can be highly addictive and the items produced works of art. Big machines with exposed gears and belt drives etc don't worry me in the least but I do feel rather afraid of modern tinny power tools covered in lots of guards looking so innocent but highly capable of inflicting serious injury; I'm used to the big stuff but it's the little stuff which tends to nip me?
Thanks for adding the picture of the cable Joe; it helps; so I need individually screened cores? I need three cores for the pot.
Kind regards, Col.

Happiness is a wreck of a cabinet to restore.
