It is now electrically complete and tested.
By fitting the inverter unit with the two straps with pips it fits in the recessed screws at the top and on the input terminals on the back so it stays original. The charging resistor is correct for operation from an off the shelf 12V wall wart.
The inverter produces the 500V from 7.2 volts making it a model candidate for a re chargeable battery pack.
