The Cap shown in my Pic is a 250v and identical to 8 others located on the Main Circuit Board, I found enough splinters to piece together the colour code of the one that exploded. (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261229514864?s...K:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649)
The only clue left Alan was part of a leg stem attached to Post 1 on the top Potentiometer! but curiously there was something like this (see pic) hanging off post 3 too! Maybe the On/Off/Intensity Pot has failed? But seems OK. Circuit Diagram or Pic can be my only confirmation of how things originally hung together. I'm plodding on with different combinations of connections for now.
p.s. The Diode thingy looked a bit like this (Pic), but I could be wrong, Iv'e lost the remnants of the original.
