Yes indeed Yorkie.
It looks like it was originally sold to measure the resistance of liquids such as battery acid. This would explain why the original paint was not in the best of condition. I have manuals in French and Dutch that show a glass probe that is consistent with this. In an ideal world I will need a decade box to make it do capacitance and inductance but there does not need to be any internal mods as the connections are on the front panel.
It is now waiting for its first outing as a fully working instrument.
A winner has been selected from the two germanium transistor radios and being me it will be the toughest challenger.
Is is a going to be a tuning cap repair for shorting vanes in a new thread.
