Hi,
Thanks Ted; its good to hear from you again now that you have a bit of spare time; hopefully we can also meet up at Rufforth in the near future; I intend to visit Rufforth first Saturday in October (5th) if you can make it?
Yes I've finally sorted out the VFD/Jubilee connections but still only have limited sweep on the 10K pot between stop and full speed. Refugee kindly suggested that this could possibly be simply a parameter on the VFD which needs re-setting such as input/offset or something similar but so far I've been unable to find anything marked as such but once I get into the workshop with more time I'm sure I will eventually sort this out; the lathe is now fully working and I'm looking forward to doing some wood turning this coming winter in comfort?
You can buy studding at Screwfix in long lengths together with nuts and washers and it's cheap enough rather than wait for Rufforth where it might not be on sale?
You should have a good time at Hornsea and if you don't have much to sell perhaps you could help David and Jennifer out as they are de-cluttering.
Kind regards, Col.

Happiness is a wreck of a cabinet to restore.
