Hello Colin, Have now got your inverter problem sorted ? I have bit of time now, the rush at the hostel is over for the season, still plenty to do and will be so for the next 4 or 5 years, but there is a lull. I refurbished my Super 7 fitted with power cross feed and gearbox several years ago. It took me quite a while to remember where every thing went when I got the bed back from being reground. Being power cross feed only Myford would grind it, only they had the jig with details for the saddle or so I was told. I fitted it with a 3 phase motor and inverter, made my own control box. The inverter is about 20 years old a very early type, no longer available. It was originally supplier by RS and they had still got the connection details etc, to alter the ramp up/down speed etc. To make the alterations there are a line of dip switches to be moved. The actual inverter was designed to be panel mounted, so it now in an ex burglar alarm box. I cut a hole top and bottom, fastened some mesh in place to precluded any bit of swarf and then using 4 spacers fitted a Chinese pagoda style roof over the top mesh which allows a good flow of air. Maybe I have told all this before, memory is not what it used to be. I bought one of my other inverters from your favourite monthly shopping places for £20 could believe my luck. Incidentally might go to Rufforth at the end of the month, we need some 10 and 12 mm studding and lots of nuts, I'll let you know before hand and we can have a meet up. I'll see David at Hornsea, got the table booked and might have a load of gear to sell on behalf of a friend who has packed up radio, I sold all my gear a couple of months ago, so are scrambling around for something to fill the table with. Wife says we still have a lot to go,I don't know where she is looking.Ted
