Hi,
Thanks Lawrence. Would it be safe for a single person to use a peavy to maneuver such a log as the 20" diameter one I had up onto the sawmill; I'd be wary of losing control and ending up with broken legs because logs of this size and weight don't take prisoners?
I realize the mill is fully portable and can easily be taken to the log to be converted but unfortunately Lawrence not where we live; it is much too steep to set the mill up and to set the mill up across the slope the log would soon be in the valley bottom having demolished the bungalow on the way down. Just dragging the petrol mower up the garden gives a great workout without having to visit a gym. Standing in our rear garden is difficult; it really is steep. I wouldn't have sold the cement mixer if I could have easily got it up to the shed.
The Logosol is a lovely bit of kit though and would be a fine addition to my tool collection.
