Duff battery boxes

I have used the 6 AA holders a few times and found them to have short lives <2yrs due to oxidisation of the seemingly chrome plated springs etc. Unfortunately the only alternative is to use the holder or tape and solder the batteries which almost always results in some electrolyte expulsion over the following months.
