This Cct is from the ARRL handbook of 1960, It makes no mention of Heathkit.
I wanted to use a DL96 triode strapped because the heater only took 25mA (Ideal for battery use) but these valves are quite expensive and I still need a B7g base. I found this Nuvistor in my bits and pieces and the heater current is 125mA, A bit high but feasible for battery use. I will try and make some sort of connector using a piece of PCB. The only other valves I have use =/>300mA and the only triode I have is an 833A 10V 10A heater........................The HT would be a bit problematic too.................
As for the Cap I will use both gangs AM and FM on the lowest range, then the AM gangs/gang on the mid ranges and the FM gangs/gang on the higher ranges as per the Lythall design which uses 5 pin Din plugs / sockets for the coil connections.
