Indeed Lawrence: that is what I have done as the years have passed. It's space limitations that usually 'call the shots'.
However for the past 5 years or so I have been scanning articles of personal interest and thus storing them on a PC. To a large extent, it is the availability to the 'ordinary man' of such technology that enables such storage and preservation of written material to be done. Back in the '60s and 70's, it was very much a question of tearing out various pages or if one was lucky enough to have access to a Xerox copier to use that - but that 'access' usually carried certain risks . . . "Oi! Wassat you're copyin' on the company's Xerox?"
Of course, scanning does take time, and when there is a substantial collection of articles to scan, it is amazing how the hours seem to disappear. And, in actual point of fact, right now, behind me, I have a pile of about 70 PW magazines that contain articles that I will scan one day . . . one day . . . how many more times must I keep saying that to myself?
So much to do; so little time to get it all done. At least boredom is something I rarely suffer from.
