Neat little gizmo eh guys?
I've got several instruments which measure capacitance, inductance and test transistors, including a Peak transistor tester I bought some years ago when there was little else on offer. They all give broadly the same results as this little jobby. It's handy having several functions in one unit, especially when it's so unfussy about which leads are used, and isn't polarity sensitive. Auto shut off after about 20 secs too. I've used mine quite a lot since I got it and the battery drain seems minimal. It first come up with the battery test and after a month, still says Batt OK - 8.4V.
A real bargain at the price.

As Nick said, if you're careful and quick, it shouldn't be too difficult to blob two wires across the PCB switch contacts to fit a separate panel-mounted push button switch.
