There are probably quite a few homegrown sawmills that stock homegrown western red cedar in the round in their yards, I used to buy in that stuff in the round for sawing into fencing, it might be worth locating one, they can then cut EX 28 - 30 mm boards for you which will PSE down to 25 mm, I used to pay around £26 per meter cubed for short roundwood homegrown cedar bars (a bar = 6ft 2" x 125 to 200 top diameter roundwood (logs) circa 1996.
Homegrown sweet chestnut is more commonly available, all these types of timbers contain tanin so I guess the bees would not know the difference.
If gotten from a homegrown sawmill they will probably still be green but the boards will dry out quite fast if stacked correctly prior to planing.
