One of the nice features of Little Maestros, and indeed other Pilot radios, is the dials, which are really high quality with no chance of flaking paint. Such an important feature of any radio, along with the speaker fabric where fitted, that it really does spoil the appearance of a set, and sometimes makes it hardly worth restoration.
I'm in the process of trying to thin down my collection and focusing only on smaller radios, which - for the most part - I find more attractive, but also, they take up less display space!
The problem I have is that once I've restored a radio, I don't like to part with it, so I become a 'collector' by default.
