Thanks Al, I am running Firefox at the moment, might have another go although the said Smith Chart application might be above my head....
Managed to follow the ones in the last link I posted, that particular chap has only recently started his videos so maybe he will do some more Smith Chart examples, I have searched the internet for simple explanations as to how to use the chart but most seem to go on about the underlying maths or make assumptions as to ones knowledge which from a Smith Chart learning point of view is counter productive for me as I see the chart as a means to bypass the heavy maths.
