I have Corel Paint v.5 on most of the machines here: mainly used for bit-maps: I use it quite a lot. Somewhere I have a set of disks for Corel Draw (vector graphics) - but that's a very old app. now & it may not work very comfortably with Windows 2000. Now I always intended to 'investigate' Corel Draw, but it's just one of those many things that somehow has sunk into the mud at the bottom of the roundtoit pile.
Windows 2000 + SP4, running on six networked PCs, meets 99% of the collective computing needs in this household: it is obvious that there will come a day when I will have to make a wholesale upgrade. With Win XP aside, all later versions of Windows will require wholesale replacement of most of these PCs, on the simple grounds of inadequate H/W in them, at present, to run anything more recent than Win XP. Not only that, but upgrading to even Win XP will involve a great deal of work reconfiguring the server and network permissions, etc., and my past experience of Win XP indicates that Win XP does not have the network flexibility and network management resources that Windows 2000 has. Hence, I am putting off the day for such upgrades until sheer obsolescence forces my hand.
