Thanks Lawrence. Like things to be accurate the Wasp was 2007 so only 6 years ago but still long enough to show no colour change. Of course the several coats of satin lacquer will help to keep UV down as well. The Panorama paper cost £2 sheet back then, I expect its £3 now but it was worth it.
The pic of the boxes was before they were rubbed over with French Polish which subdues them. I guess gives a little protection as well. Its a good trick for paper labels producing an aged look. Their construction was actually a complex piece of origami (the idea from a Christmas box of expensive chocolates) that took two whole days. I remember it was snowing at the time and it was nice indoors in the warm, with steel rules and craft knives. With patience and luck I got the lids to fit beautifully, just like they were factory made. A friend said she was more thrilled with the boxes than the radio. Not sure if that was a complement or not!
This one never got in the Bulletin as I thought no one else would ever makes them. One US guy asked for detail but he never let me know if he did.
Here's a better pic of one box:
Possibly they changed paper on those prints of your Joe!
