Please excuse me if this sounds like a daft question, but your SLF variable capacitor . . . how do you know that it actually is an SLF type?
One of the reasons I ask this is because I've been looking through my box of salvaged variable capacitors, with the intention of trying a simulation & measurement (etc.) , but I cannot recall what one actually looks like!
