This is old ground but here we go again!

Unfortunately NON OEM cartridges and inks are not the same or as good as the makers ones. Certainly not for Epson anyway. A friend has the same 6 colour printer as me but uses cheapo refills. For photographs the initial image is not as good, particularly in the black and if left in daylight they deteriorate pretty quick. Ones with Epson ink and paper that were left on an east facing window were still hardly changed a year later.
But if you want an ephemeral image for some purpose then use them. You may need occasional nozzle cleans though.
