Which all in one printer to buy?

I've only ever used genuine Canon ink in mine. I've never had a moments trouble with mine, and I can't help suspecting that buying the right consumables is a factor there. When new it seemed a shame to take chances with such a nice bit of kit, and even though it's rather old now, I still think it's worth the investment.

That's just my feeling on the subject - everyone else will have their own view.
