The Amplifier is just meant to be used as a variable gain Amplifier as far as I can tell, although plugging a load into the Jack buggers the readings. It's only really good for 200kc/s, which I find a bit odd.

That's interesting. That figure: 200 kc/s: is that the manufacturer's stated figure for that output socket with a stated load on it or what you discovered on test? And if the latter, what value of load did you use?
