During this recent period of enforced hibernation - the garage is uninhabitable even with the heater running - I decided I'd do some Documentation to avoid going stir-crazy. It had to be something small enough to play with in the house so I chose my VM77s.
The VM77s, as the Thread Title says, are (AC) Millivoltmeters. Actually, 'Millivoltmeter' is a bit odd as they measure up to 300 volts.
As far as I can tell there was a VM77, VM77B, VM77C, VM77D and VM77E. the 'E' is beyond the pale as it's full of Transistors and I believe is really Gould. I have a VM77, a 'C' and a 'D'. If anyone has a 'B' they want shot of I'm in the market.
I've collected some Documentation over the years so I decided to put it into decent shape pending actually fettling them.
So, the VM77 first.
In my opinion this is the prettiest, but also the smallest of the three. Internally it's a nightmare - see attached.
It works, of sorts, but more later.
