Hi,
Many thanks for the Blue Peter badge Colin; much appreciated.
Unfortunately Lawrence I'm unable to make access to the garage easier without spending a heck of a lot of money. Our Bungalow is sitting on the garage as both are cut into the valley side; it's just such a pain getting soaked or frozen each time I need tools or materials from the garage but thanks for asking.
Whilst browsing "YouTube" earlier I came across the following "Solidworks" CAD video which makes my humble drawings look feeble; it's brilliant watching how quickly an expert can use a good CAD program. This is most impressive;

I've also browsed the web to see how much this program costs but it is vague and I don't want to inquire for the price thank you? If I've got to ask I can't afford it.
I use whatever I have to hand Lawrence to simplify my projects; templates and jigs are extremely useful and by doing a quick mock up mistakes can be spotted before they are made wasting time and materials. Just for interest I think I'll make a pair of cardboard patterns of the clutch together with cardboard cross section of the belt then I can physically slide the parts together to simulate the working conditions of the clutch; I need to do something because this weather is really starting to annoy me; it's finally stopped snowing at last but for how long?
A quick update, I've just found a forum covering Solidworks and are you sitting down? To buy;
Standard £4,250.
Pro £5,500
Premium £6,750
WOW!!!!!
Kind regards, Col.

Happiness is a wreck of a cabinet to restore.
