What an immaculate item it was, and with all themany accessories in superb condition.

I noticed that German owner sold it to an Italian chap who sold it for twice the price a week later - basically, just a speculator. I've got several of the items shown, such as the lever tail-stock for drilling, and a normal tailstock and several collets but not the original motor, and apart from the normal sliding tool-post, no other tool posts, and no screw-cutting or milling accesories. My Lorch has a fixed three-jaw chuck I was surprised to see that one of the tool-posts was rather like a woodworking lathe tool-post and he seemed to be using a skew chisel freehand to turn some brass rod as one would turn a spindle on a woodturning lathe. He was obviously a clockmaker or at least a collector and enthusiast - clocks were tick-tocking in the background and bells kept chiming! Couldn't be doing with that - I long since silenced the chimes on our wall clock in the hall.
