A comment from the Telegraph some years ago now - 'The demise of the High Street can be explained in two words: No Parking'
Actually, Evesham appears to have quite a lot of High Street Parking.

Got it in one, we lead busy lives and work some of the longest hours in Europe, It's usually out of town shopping or drive through the town twenty times trying to find somewhere to park that doesn't rip you off...no contest...I would put their heads on a pike.
