O.K., let's try to get to the nitty-gritty on this by me playing the Devil's Advocate.
Most motorists know that if you approach a roundabout and there are vehicles going around that roundabout and that at least one of these vehicles is going to proceed across your path, you are required, by Law, to give way and let that vehicles / those vehicles pass you before you proceed on your way. In other words, at roundabouts, give way to traffic on your right.
So, on the basis of that understanding, why are traffic lights fitted at roundabouts at all?
