As my example showed some sites are very cunning at getting you to download Add ONs (must get some money back from ads) along with what you want. Very easy to pass by a tiny box, with a very small font alongside it, that starts "I accept the terms and conditions ... and miss the next bit and just hit the install button.
And Yes! thanks Colin, I was vigilent in looking for the words SnapDo, and Goggle Chrome and Real Player and etc etc
But I reckon if you had done Create a Restore point before the install and immediately you saw SnapDo stepped back to before it then it would have gone. Only one way to find out. Next time you feel like some re-install practice of W7 try it before hand for us
Beware of loading too many of those Stop / Get rid of This and That progs. Not sure that many gel together and are more trouble than they are worth. A software developer, of a pretty large company, told me never run any of these Reg Clean or Tune up progs ... most just make more probs than they create.
I have never done an Op Sys reload between re- builds, or leastwise not since Win 98
