Good summary of the Bomber boys and the losses David. Yeah! it was tough. Currently reading about the Arctic Convoys and that was simply a horror story as well. See they are now going to get Honoured with some gongs! Better late than never I guess.
In the BVWS Bulletin there were a couple of articles on restoring 1155's. Both very good. But the best ever, that I have seen is, in Radio Bygones 141 which is the latest.
The article is excellent in all aspects. The NZ owner really knows what he is doing and the quality of the workmanship is simply the best. Superb attention to detail including having rubber stamps made to put back more original lettering than cant be done with decals (can see the material on polished ali cans).
For any fan of the radio do try to get to see a copy.
