I have a program called 'Advanced System Care 6', which, even in it's free version is quite comprehensive. Amongst other things, it removes malware, checks/de-fragments the hard drive, carries out a 'Privacy Sweep'(in the process this removes anytrace of your previous searches, bookmarked items, dropdowns, etc.)and quite a list of other things. If you uncheck box(es) on it's 'to do' list, ASC will skip those items, so it's quite versatile.
A 'pop-up' screen appears on your desktop at switch on showing the current 'state of play' of your system.
This screen includes a 'clean RAM' button, and an indication of 'system health'(a smiley face if O.K. - a frowning one if not). The program can be run in the background(it's running as I type this) and generally seems to be very good, although I also have AVG & AVG 'One-Click' maintenance.
