Hi,
Thanks guys for your excellent advice and in particular to John for taking the time and trouble to add the video link.
I've run the video at least three times John but the instructions are too rapid for me to absorb easily so I'll have to keep running it until I grasp what to do. The information is there so its down to me. I did check Control Panel/Remove programs as soon as I saw the virus but it isn't listed which is a pity.
I'm pretty sure this virus entered whilst I clicked on a web link kindly sent to me by an old school chum via email; it suddenly appeared and I've received many such links from school chums previously without any trouble whatsoever. It beats me why the world is full of nasties rather than people rubbing along together in a friendly manner?
This virus is annoying me by just knowing it is in the background; it is isolated so not causing any damage; I'll spend more time trying to eradicate it later as I'm off into the workshop again to do a bit more work on the Barker restoration.
Your advice is much appreciated; thank you.
Kind regards, Col.

Happiness is a wreck of a cabinet to restore.
