A Very Nice Radio

Looks in nice shape - be interesting to see what it goes for - not much more than the starting price would be my guess, but I've put it on my 'watch list'. As always, the problem with all these really quite advanced receivers for their day, such as the HRO, and AR88, is the sheer size and weight on them in a domestic setting. I went through my 'Eddystone phase' and had quite a collection, which I whittled down bit by bit. The last to go was an EA12 and a 940. The trouble is that when we collect radios, once the initial novelty and pride of ownership has worn off, they end up just gathering dust rather than being used daily, and unless you have ample dry and heated space in which to display or use them, they just sit there as silent testimony to a bygone age. Same applies to domestic radios of course, but they don't take up quite so much space!
