I always thought that complaints about Internet Explorer were just people knocking MicroSoft for political/philosophical reasons. That was until I tried Safari and found it much better. FireFox seemed even better but I too have been using Chrome for a few months and have found it the best of the lot.
The only thing I don't like about it is that the menus are hidden away. On the plus side it can save pages directly as PDFs, has built-in spell-checking, advert-blocking is easy and it has foreign language translation built in.
I never got on with ThunderBird though and stick with Outlook Express/Windows Mail. This WILL work with a HotMail account but you need to 'fool' it when setting it up.
