If, (and only if) you have time,...... could you please confirm that your 'sequence of events' is that when you double click on the downloaded .wmv file, Windows Media Player starts up? Then you see a message line 'Downloading media usage rights' at the bottom of the WMP opening screen. Then another small window opens titled 'Media Usage Rights Acquisition' (from open.live.bbc.co.uk).
My setup fails at that point stating the webpage cannot be found (suggesting that the BBC have removed it or made it unavailble for some reason). ed731pdh has also tried and has the same problem.
