Watches are a bit beyond me. I've done a couple of pin-pallet ones - five bob Ingersols and the like.
The trouble you'll have is finding somebody prepared to look at it as clock- and watch-making is like electronic repairs in that tradesmen don't seem to want custom half the time. If it's a 'Good Quality' one they may dain to look.
I'd very much doubt that it's irreparable. It's just finding the right person to have a butcher's.
