The ban does not apply to Rough Usage bulbs. These are for use in enviroments where they are contunually on, eg Building Sites and Shops. These are heavy duty or vibration proof bulbs.
They do cost a bit more but they should last longer. But, Chinese ones just have the mark on and nobody can tell...
I would like to add that there are health effects of these newer bulbs. There have been cases of a sort of sunburn, and also SAD is on the increase. How do I know this... well I have it. I could cope with Tungsten Lamps, but not with these newer ones. The use of these bulbs has not been thought through (EU isn't capable of that) and SAD is on the increase with these new bulbs everywhere. Nobody has seen the link, or they have been 'put away' like Global Warming sceptics are.
I have about 200 tungsten bulbs in stock here. Must visit Poundland...
