Re: the initial post. Reminds me of an Eddystone S680.X that I bought at an auction about this time last year. It had been stored in someone's attic for about 30 years! And it took a lot of work to restore it to correct operation, including replacing five valve-sockets - which in a valve Eddy. is not a trivial task! When all was done - and dusted - the pile of removed dead organic matter was far greater than the amount of defunct electronic bits that came out!
