Here's one that never made it past the advertisers.. The "NOMAD" "No more adds" system.. Basically, it replaced adverts on live television with up to 300 inbuilt screen savers, which could be updated F.O.C or a family slide show as the owner put onto a memory card. It was updated similar to antivirus, as soon as a new ad was screened it's signature was updated to memory. A simple download to memory card and insert updated the box. A small P in P still showed the advert in case you wanted to switch back. After the advert normal viewing continued. Bought and shelved...I hated the adverts on TV which seemed to suggest viewers were morons. A very simplified description I afraid as I have some constraints.
