Before I Drive Myself Nuts!!

Hi All,
You should know me by now - I dont scare off easily!

Ok, changed the connections on the switch pot. Snipped out C66 (trader sheet) but left c51 suppressor in place for the time being. Attached to lamp limiter and switched on. Bulb did nor light or even glow. Decided to attached the set to mains and switched on. Nothin' - what an anticlimax!! The heater chain is certainly not lighting up. Is the next step to measure whether the rectifier is getting any juice?
