As you may have gathered I've joined this forum having only recently discovered it so hopefully will make a useful contribution to the combine knowledge and wisdom of the members.

I do hope you'll find the time to post, and to join in some of the threads. It's a very friendly and relaxed forum, sensibly moderated, and if - as sometimes happens - anyone drifts off topic, no-one swoops down like an avenging angel to close the thread. The ethos is to encourage rather than to discourage, involvement. Also, there are sections for other hobbies such as lathes, woodwork, metalwork and so on, and a 'lounge' for general chit chat.
What's not to like about that?!
