Yes Gary, he was pretty droll, but imagine the same thing now:-
A Celebrity Presenter would dash onto stage to loud music and, while panting, explain that there was only 5 minutes available to explain everything.

The reason for such a hurry is because he will be doing it "on the double!"

Finally the Presenter would vanish in a puff of smoke with a bit bang,

And that would probably be because he didn't choose his diodes with an adequate PIV rating - just like the presenter in that video didn't mention it either.
