OK I will put up another couple of big boys....... ( The EB91 and EF80 are for size comparison)
This time we have a pair of Cossor valves, I have been told they are 4XP (PX4 equiv) but i'm not convinced I think they are V10's although the glass envelope is different to V10's I have seen, hence the doubt, also they are admiralty valves and have the following on the side
" Admiralty PATT 8832 N.R. 44 serial No. C.R. 8840"
On the top of the valve is Cossor and faintly V10 so that's why I reckon they are indeed V10's. If so then these Cossor valves date from the late 1930's when detector diode for television reception were being developed. Low capacitance was a major design feature so as to be able to operate on vision signals up to 3 MHz. But the doubt is the Admiralty!!! bit, did they have Cossor build a V10 with this envelope anyone know or have ideas?
