My TK18 had a broken main drive belt, plus the heads, pinchroller & capstan, etc., needed a good clean. Presumably the previous owner had never cleaned these parts, and I can understand why-how's the end user meant to get at them?
The electronics all seem to be in good order though I may replace the few electrolytic caps. on the PCB.
If I can obtain suitable belts, maybe from that ebay seller who supplies belt kits, I may replace all three.
Incidentally, Steve, in what way are you having trouble putting a TK18 back together. Having removed the PCB to check for possible faults, the only problem I'm having is relocating the rec/PB switch correctly, and hopefully will be able to sort that out soon.
