Thanks, Steve. Now you come to mention it, I think the 'pressing the keys all at once' instruction applied to another machine I once repaired, but had forgotten that. I know that there was a broken belt in there, since I pulled it out from the back. Sounds like these can be right PITAs, though, from what you say!
