hi dave , its a far cry from the time when soldiers in the 1st w.w sent messages back by word of mouth to brigade headquarters all the same, like send re-enforsements were going to advance, back along the lines, and when it would arrive at the other end ,it would sound like,send three and four pence were going to a dance.
