Yes from me too Andy, for non civil engineering projects concrete is quite forgiving stuff so long as it doesn't litterally start running away in torrential rain, for a general purpose mix use 4 to 1 (4 of all in ballast ie: 19mm to dust to 1 cement by volume) as Joe says you can mix it dry or slightly damp if its going in a really wet trench, once in and level then give the the top a "fine" spray of water then cover over with old sheets and newspapers for a for a day or two, if it doesn't rain from that point on then occasionally spray the old cloth/newspaper covering with water, if you don't have a hose just use a bucket of water and a brush to flick the water on or a watering can, the top of the concrete should set within 48 hrs and the covering can be removed, if torrential rain threatens keep it covered for an extra day or so, any further rain will then be a bonus, give it a few days 'till everything settles and lay your flags or whatever in dry weather if poss.
