Yes, I understand all of that, but why won't you accept that the problem is the 3-core mains lead?
This is why I strongly advocated changing the mains lead for a 2-core one in my above post (point #1). If you want to keep a 3-core mains lead, then you must connect the earth core to the exposed metalwork and fit an isolation transformer (point #2). I have explained this perfectly well, and have fully justified my position.
It's now "horse to water". It's up to you.
Again, I apologise for being blunt, or if I have offended you. I wouldn't normally be so persistent, but this is a serious safety matter, and it could come back to you - in a possibly expensive (or worse) fashion. I repeat: I'm trying to help.
