IF I've done the maths right my top speed is 1,333.33.
I stuck a magnet to the chuck and a reed switch to the tool rest and connected this to my 'scope via a PP3.
Nobody can say that this thread is 'Off Topic' for an electronics forum; it's now got a CRO in it.
My the way, David, you won't discourage me: being told I can't do something is the best ENcouragement as It just makes me think "We'll see about that."
