Rob: far be it from me to tell you things that you probably already know, but when I'm faced with a dismantling job that I can see will present a challenge at re-assembly, I usually make copious drawings, notes - and sometimes even take a few photographs. And then I file them for the next time: yes, there is always the 'next time'!
