Ah! That's the stuff: classic tag strip. That's exactly what I was referring to in my earlier post; thanks rob. Y'know, when I look back over the last 50 years as to the enormous changes in technology in radio & electronics, especially in simple (and not so simple) components, it gives me a warm feeling to see that good old traditional tag strip hasn't changed - and is still available. I well recall using such tag strip when I built one of my very first radio projects when I was 13: a design for a 2-valve TRF from a design in Practical Wireless; halcyon days, indeed.
