All of the reproduction dials shown in the article are of the 'back-lit' variety rather than on glass, nevertheless many of the techniques are equally applicable to both types. Particularly the creation of the dial using a graphics software package and when making a combination paper/film dial such as Gary's KB BM30 dial and my own Bush BP10 shown earlier.
The methods I describe are later expanded on in posts #1 and #2 of the following thread;
